Mhairi is a contemporary Scottish artist. Her multidisciplinary practice includes collaborative work, contextual art practice, painting, printmaking, illustration and moving image.

Description of Current Practice, 2020

 

Art as a communication structure became my focus after studying post-structuralism during my Art and Philosophy Degree. I seek ways to best present what I am thinking and I am concerned with sharing ideas in a manner that is fuller than plain speech could ever allow. I think that art exists wherever an attempt to speak was made; because any mark on paper or word spoken is towards what was once in mind.

Just now, I am trying to make art that is both fun and with substance for many interpretations.
